Hyper Reach Alert System

The City of Dover is offering a mass notification system designed specifically for your safety. You may sign up today by clicking on the link below.

The new emergency alert system will provide rapid notification using a mix of telephone calls, text messages and/or emails.

The city plans to use the service primarily for alerts regarding water/wastewater concerns and environmental hazards (such as: broken water main, boil water notice, etc) but has the potential to be used for more. The system has the capability to circle on a map exactly which homes need to be included in the notice so you will not be receiving calls that are not meant for your area. We will also use this in case of an emergency evacuation. Our hope is to never have to use this, but we will have it available and ready to go if we need to.

Currently we have to hand deliver notices door to door if there is an issue with the water or if we have to shut the system down for a repair. This will allow us to notify you via phone, reducing staff time while meeting the federal requirements to have notified our customers all within a reasonable timeframe.

It is our hope to use this in a variety of ways. Regulations were passed that we must annually notify customers having a certain water line material, or if various levels exceed the normal range, etc.

This will help us expedite delivering the information to you.

(If you have a loved one in the area and you live away and want to monitor for any emergency messages, just sign up with your persons address.)

All landline phones are currently loaded into the system, however, because cell phones are mostly used, you will need to sign up with your information.

Enroll by either calling or texting "Alert" to 302-213-6787 or you can register at the website: http://hyper-reach.com/decityofdover.html. If you have an Alexa enabled smart device, you can say, "Alexa enable Hyper-Reach" and simply follow the prompts to set it up for your area.
