Dover, Delaware, Nov. 6th, 1922.
The Town Council met in regular session at 7:30 P. M. with the following members answering roll call: Messrs. Downes, Clark, Bice, Burton Clements, Hancock.
President Magee being absent, Mr. Clements was nominated for acting President by Messrs. Hancock and Downes and sustained by the ensuring vote of Council.
Reading the Minutes: The Minutes of the last meeting of Council was then read by the Clerk and on motion of Messrs. Bice and Hancock same were approved by Council as read.
Alderman’s Report: Alderman’s Report for the month of October showed seven arrests and fines collected amounted to $27.00 check for same being turned over to the Treasurer. Report accepted and ordered entered on the Minutes and filed on motion of Messrs. Bice and Downes.
Engineer’s Report: The following report was rendered by the Chief Engineer, read by the Clerk and accepted and ordered entered on the Minutes and filed by Council, acting on motion of Messrs. Downes and Clark.

Committee on Account: The Committee held all bills over for an adjourned meeting.

Street Committee: On motion of Messrs. Downes and Hancock, Council voted to grant a permit to B. Carroll & Son to install a gasoline tank and pump on their property in the rear of the Post office, the petition being drawn up in the regular form.

Water and Light Committee: No Report
New Business:
Rate for Electric Current Raised: Owing to the increase in the cost of coal, etc. Council finds it necessary to raise the present rate of electric current from ten (.10) per K.W. to fifteen (15) cents per K. W. and acting upon motion of Messrs. Downes and Burton Council so voted, the change to go into effect as of November 1st, 1922.
Relief Driver For Truck: On behalf of the Committee of the Robbins Hose Co Mr. Clark informed Council that it was thought to be necessary to obtain a relief driver for the fire truck. The matter was discussed by Council and then the matter was referred back to the Hose Company through Mr. Clark in order that they ascertain just what a man could be secured for who would relieve the regular driver two evenings a week and every other Sunday, and they should report back at a later meeting.

Roof Repairs at Plant: Mr. Kichline informed Council of the bad condition of part of the roof at the Water & Light Plant which should be attended to at once. The matter was discussed and turned over to the Water & Light Committee with power to act, on motion of Messrs. Hancock and Bice.
Report of Board of Health: The regular semi-annual report of the Board of Health was submitted by the Secretary, H. C. Taylor as attached. After its reading by the Clerk, it was accepted by Council on motion of Messrs. Bice and Downes.
Six Month’s Salary: On motion of Messrs. Bice and Downes Council instructed the Clerk to draw an order for the payment of 6 months salary to the Secretary.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Messrs. Bice and Hancock voted that Council should adjourn to meet again at 7:00 P. M. Thursday, Nov. 9th in order to pass upon the bills. Carried.
