Biographical Information

Kenneth Roach was born and raised in Dover, DE on June 11, 1986 and is the son of George Roach,  supervisor with the Division of Family Services and Lynne Roach, former supervisor of Catholic Charities and therapist with Mind and Body Consortium. He is the brother of Adrienne Roach, Hartly Elementary School’s 2014 Teacher of the Year. He is a product of the Capital School District, attending West Dover, William Henry, and Central Middle and graduated from Dover High School in 2004. He worked at the Simon Circle Boys and Girls Club as a young adult, until he went to Bowie State University to obtain his Bachelors in Social Work. He moved back to Dover, DE in hopes to give back to his community. He obtained his Masters of Social work from Delaware State University. Since he returned he has focused his efforts towards helping children in his community. He has been employed with the State of DE at Brenford Residential Treatment Center, The Division of Family Services and is currently the Family Crisis Therapist with the Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health Services K-5 Early Intervention Unit at his old school Booker T. Washington Elementary School (West Dover). He is the Young Adult Ministry President at his church and also works part time as a Behavior Interventionist with New Behavioral Network. He is also a member of the most illustrious of all fraternal organizations, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated and participates in other volunteer work for youth. He spends a lot of time dedicated to his community, but in his downtime he enjoys playing golf, bowling, softball, volleyball, basketball, watching movies and spending time with loved ones.  But he is most proud of being a father to his 5 year old daughter, Lanai Elizabeth Lynne Roach and raising her with the help of his family. He is truly a Doverian and hopes to truly make a real impact for the betterment of the city of Dover by serving on the Human Relations Commission.
